Bring meaningful, participatory arts programming to your residents. Second Act Theater provides everything you need—trained volunteers, materials, equipment, and artistic direction—delivered directly to your facility.
Why Musical Theater?
Beyond Bingo Night
Activity directors report strong demand for programming that is participatory rather than passive, socially engaging, and cognitively stimulating. Musical theater checks every box—while adding the irreplaceable element of creative self-expression.
Therapeutic Benefits
Research consistently shows that music and performance benefit aging populations: improved mood, reduced isolation, enhanced cognitive engagement, and a renewed sense of purpose. Residents don't just watch—they perform, connect, and belong.
Intergenerational Connection
Our student volunteers aren't one-time visitors. They return week after week, building authentic relationships with your residents that bring energy, laughter, and meaning to both generations.
Family Engagement
Performances give families a reason to visit, a moment to share, and a window into the vibrant life their loved ones lead at your facility. It's programming that builds pride—for residents and families alike.
